  Settlement Services

ELS gives you information about services to help you to settle in Australia.

All newly enrolled students undertake a Settlement Course in their first weeks of study at ELS.  The course is offered at a range of levels, helps students understand Australian systems and culture and provides specific information on education, transport, health, culture, housing, law, driving, money and work as well as how to make the most of your learning at ELS.

At ELS we also

  • provide bilingual support officers to assist new arrivals
  • organise information sessions about life in Australia with guest speakers from government and community organisations
  • provide interpreters at the information sessions to help you understand the information in your language
  • help you find and use the services you need to live in Adelaide
  • provide information on:
    -  tax
