English Courses - CD & BVE

ELS provides classes for

  • Adults living in Community Detention (CD) and
  • Bridging Visa E (BVE) holders.

 

CD Course Details

These students are eligible for Australian Government funded courses of English language tuition of 45 hours duration per course, spread over 5 weeks. There is no limit on the number of ongoing CD courses a student can enrol in after completing the first one. Students must be referred to ELS via their caseworker.

These courses are held at:

  • TAFE SA Rundle Mall Campus, 127 Rundle Mall, Adelaide
  • Flinders Street Baptist Church, 65 Flinders St, Adelaide
  • Salisbury Uniting Church, Corner of Park and Brown Tce, Salisbury
  • TAFE SA Salisbury Campus, Wiltshire Street, Salisbury

 

BVE Course Details

ELS provides classes for Bridging Visa E holders. These students are eligible for a maximum of 2 Australian Government funded courses of English Language tuition of 22.5 hours duration per course, spread over 3 weeks. Once students have completed 6 weeks, they cannot be enrolled in any further classes, and are referred on to community classes and free English classes at the English Language Centre at TAFE SA Light Square Campus, 120 Currie Street Adelaide. Students must be referred to ELS via their caseworker.

These courses are funded by the Australian Government Department of Education and Training and are held at:

  • TAFE SA Rundle Mall Campus, 127 Rundle Mall, Adelaide
  • TAFE SA Naracoorte Campus, 19 Gordon Street, Naracoorte
